Hi, how can we help you?

Sentinel gives your team real-time visibility into Workday integrations by monitoring the Workday Integration Event Service. It collects, transforms, analyzes, and categorizes integration event data — then alerts the right people, at the right time, with the right context.

Whether you’re troubleshooting a payroll delay or preempting a missed onboarding, Sentinel helps you stay one step ahead of issues that impact employee trust and business continuity.

What Is Sentinel?

Sentinel is a purpose-built monitoring layer for Workday integrations. It connects directly to your Workday tenant through a secure OAuth connection and continuously monitors integration events — including those from Connectors, Studio, EIB, SFTP/flat file workflows, direct API integrations, and more.

It doesn’t replace Workday’s tooling — it surfaces critical signals from it, so your team can catch issues before they escalate.

Key Benefits

  • Empower Doers with Contextual Alerts

Sentinel alerts include severity, error summaries, timestamps, and ownership — so front-line HRIS and IT teams know exactly what’s broken and where to look.

  • Enable Managers with Oversight and Accountability

Sentinel makes integration health visible across the team. Managers can track acknowledgments, see who’s watching an issue, and know when something’s resolved — all without pinging someone on Slack.

  • Reduce Resolution Time and Noise

Sentinel turns Workday’s raw integration events into categorized, human-readable insights. That means fewer false alarms and faster response to real problems.

  • Build Trust in Business-Critical Workflows

When payroll, onboarding, offboarding, or compliance workflows break, the impact is real. Sentinel gives you confidence that issues are spotted early — and resolved fast.

  • Secure by Design

Sentinel follows strict enterprise-grade security standards, including ISO 27001 certification. Data access is tightly scoped, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never exceeds what’s required to monitor integration health.

Who Is Sentinel For?

Sentinel is built for teams who live in the Workday ecosystem:

  • HRIS Analysts & Technologists managing the configuration and performance of Workday integrations

  • People Systems Teams ensuring HR workflows run without friction

  • IT or Integration Admins responsible for uptime, error handling, and vendor connections

  • People Ops & HR Leaders who need visibility without digging into logs

How Sentinel Works

Sentinel integrates directly with your Workday tenant using a secure OAuth connection. Once connected, it listens to the Workday Integration Event Service, pulling real-time data across:

  • Workday Connectors

  • Studio integrations

  • EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder)

  • SFTP/Flat File delivery workflows

  • Custom APIs and other integration endpoints

These events are automatically transformed, categorized, and analyzed for anomalies or failures. Sentinel then sends human-readable alerts tailored to your team’s workflows and assists in the process of remediating issues.
