Please follow the steps below to set up Sentinel as a user.
Log in to Sentinel
Accessing Sentinel for the first time
- Click the link in the email invitation and follow the instructions to set up your password.
- Bookmark the site
- Log in to Sentinel with your email or username and password.
Edit your User Profile and Preferences
Permission Level:
- All users have the ability to edit their Profiles.
- Sentinel Admins can also edit Profiles for other users.
- Sentinel Admins cannot edit Preferences for other users.
Profile
To edit your profile:
- Navigate to Configuration, Preferences.
- Update the details and click Save Changes.
Preferences
To edit your preferences:
- Navigate to Configuration, Preferences.
- Select a UI Theme.
- Select a Timezone. Selecting a different time zone will alter the time you receive your daily digest emails.
Configure Alert notifications
Permission level
- Users can set their own Alert notifications and Preferences.
- This configuration setting defines, by a user, the way that alerts are sent: no Alert, email or text.

To Update the Alert notification settings:
- Navigate to Alert Management
- Admin: Navigate to Configuration, Users Management, hover over the relevant user record and click
- User: From the Sidebar, click Alert Management
- Select a Workday Tag from the drop-down.
- Select notification alert (SMS, Email, No Alert) for each event status severity type (Urgent, High, Medium, Low).
- Click Submit to save.
Reset password
To reset your password
- Visit https://app.dispatchsentinel.com/
- Click Forgot your password?
- Type your email and click Send reset email.
- Check your email for the 'Reset your Dispatch Sentinel password' email. Follow the instructions to reset you password.
Change password
To change your password:
- Navigate to the Profile icon in the bottom-left corner and click Change Password.
- Enter the old password.
- Enter the new password twice.
- Click Change password.
